When a company starts out, it can often grow in unexpected ways as new opportunities arise and the team grows. Pro Event Hire started life as an event equipment hire company providing lighting and sound for events close to the business. As word of the company spread (and with a lot of SEO work), the nature of the business began to change from small bookings to much larger corporate events.
With this growth came the need for a bigger team and the opportunity to offer a broader range of services to suit these larger clients. It was clear that Pro Event Hire as a name had limitations and wasn’t truly representative of where the company was now positioned.
That’s when director Charlie Evans approached us with his vision. He wanted to rename the company and had decided on Pink Lamp, in reference to the roots of the company and its previous branding.
This new brand allows the various strands of the business to have their own distinctive look and feel. This is very important as, clearly, positioning your business to appeal to corporate clients differs wildly from appealing to wedding clients.
We designed a unique logomark for Pink Lamp, paying homage to the previous logo, but with a much bolder, more confident style.
This new branding is just the beginning for Pink Lamp. With a clear vision of how the business is to be structured and the strands that are most important, the real work begins. Plans are taking shape with a new website and a suite of promotional literature.
Good branding forms part of the foundations of any great business. A strong logo leaves a lasting impression which is more important than ever in the age of social media. We always strive to create work that’s not only memorable, but conveys something of the business and the people behind that business.
We look forward to showing more work for Pink Lamp later in the year.
